Hello! I'm Jennifae. Also Jenny, or Jenni, and my favorite nickname is Fae-Bird. 

I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada, where I still live with my partner and our 5 children.

​​​​​​​​​​My work begins with the belief that the way we enter the world, and the way we honor the exit, are in great part the makings of the substance of our lives. I really truly believe that we can heal the earth through birth.  

 

I have been in service to birth and birthing families since I was a young mother. In 2006 I took a volunteer birth companion training at a local hospital that aimed to provide support to laboring women who were unaccompanied. 

since then, interwoven amongst my own birthing and parenting journey I have 

​ professionally trained and worked as:

A nursing assistant

A reiki practitioner

An advanced holistic doula

An advanced holistic postpartum doula

A hypnotherapist

A deep transformational coach

A sacred pregnancy instructor

I am currently studying holistic midwifery via the Matrona

And I recently trained in infant crainiosacral therapy and myofacial release techniques.

 

As time and resources allow, I am also an enthusiastic self-studier of the realms of psychology, holistic health and nutrition, spirituality, biology, neurobiology, and the arts.

I really like to create beautiful things.

My life experience is where my most treasured wisdom is gleaned.

Birthing 5 children without the use of pharmaceutical pain management sensibly lends perspective to my birthwork.

Learning through the challenges of raising those children provides foundation for compassionate and realistic guidance and mentorship to all parents.​

My intention in this season of my life is to remain open to what each moment requires of me, using the stories, skills, gifts, and character I have been given. 

What I know right now is that it all boils down to love, presence and some creativity.
